Extended Health Care and Dental – Optional Benefits

Underwritten by Equitable Life. Each participant must enroll in all Core Benefits plus one of three available plan options for Extended Healthcare and Dental coverage for a minimum of two years. Plan Members may opt out of the Extended Health Care and Dental Plan if they have similar coverage through their spouse.  Changes in coverage (one Plan Level up or down) may be elected once the lock-in period has expired. General Provisions

Who is eligible?
All Royal LePage franchise owners, Royal LePage Corporate Brokerage Managers and full-time support staff who work a minimum of 20 hours per week are eligible. Sales staff are not eligible to join this program. 

When can I join?
For current employees, there is no waiting period. Newly hired employees must wait 90 days before they are eligible to join the program.

Is participation mandatory?
Yes. All eligible members of a participating franchise must enroll.

Are all benefits mandatory?
Yes. However, extended healthcare and dental benefits can be waived if you are currently covered by your spouse’s plan.

Who pays the premium?
Long-term disability premiums must be 100% paid by the employee. At least 50% of all other benefit premiums must be paid by the employer. (Employer contribution as determined by the Franchise Owner/Broker).
